Feb discoveries

Hello Angels
February is my month in every sense. Not only did i celebrate my birthday but also discovered some favorites. So here is a quick run through all things am loving this month.

Arabic Tattoo
Am not a big fan of tattoos. But when they take form of writing, i love love. Last week i came across these extremely cute looking arabic tattoos at Sauce Gifts (Designer Boutique in Dubai). The first one is read as 'Hobb' means Love, which i wore on Valentines Day. The second one means 'Courage'.

They look uber stylish when coupled with arm candies or by itself. Price AED45 for pack of 3.

Shades courtesy Zara
Sunglasses adds a LOT to your look. They are capable of making a statement. I got my new pair from Zara (Men's section!). Some may be of the opinion it is too big for my face but i love it and can't get enough. Price AED145

Assam Tea
Any major Tea fans out there? Yes, then listen up. Try Assam Tea by Twinings. Delicious. I am not an expert when it comes to explaining the taste. So kindly give it a sip or two.

What's been your favorite find this month?

Beauty/Non Beauty Updates

Hello Angels
Here are some new beauty/non beauty finds I've been loving lately...

'BOBS' by Sketchers (Memory Form Canvas) - Last weekend my girlfriend introduced me to memory form shoes - the base of these shoes are build from memory form, making them extra extra comfortable to walk in plus good for your feet. The moment i tried it on, i knew this baby was a keeper.

They come in plain colors and patterns. I obviously went for a navy blue with red hearts. If you are somebody who walks a lot (and drives a lot) like me AND give comfort first priority, these make a good investment. Actually i don't think they are too expensive for the fab quality offered.

Available at any Sketchers counter or warehouse in Sh. Zayed Road - AED175/USD43

Passport and Card Holder from Paperchase -

I rarely come out empty handed from this shop and they always make me miss my childhood. Anyways, i got myself these cute cute black and white triangular patterned Passport and card holder. I love the idea of placing one's passport in attractive covers especially when you travel a lot & they provide good protection.

This is my second card holder from Paperchase. The current one am using is pretty new in condition too but i wanted to keep things matching!!

Passport cover - AED49/USD10
Card Holder - AED49/USD10

Hello Kitty Nails -

Moving on to beauty. I happen to spot these uber cute Hello Kitty nails at Boots 2 weeks back (Yes, i refuse to grow up!). The quality of the nails are good though the glue did give me some trouble.

Hope you liked some of my picks. Do let me know what interests you the most?

Day Out with The ASOS Skirt

Hello Angels
I love TuTu skirts. But somehow all the ones i like are waayyyyyyyy too expensive (no surprise there!).
I stumbled upon this Navy blue beauty while innocently browsing ASOS site. It looked too pretty to pass on.

I paired it with a top from Bershka and a cardigan from Zara. Keeping it semi casual and fit for weekend brunch with friends.

How do you like this skirt? Fan of tutu's?

Fun with Bags!

Hello Angels
Its the weeeeeekend!! *Happy Dance*
When it comes to outfits, white, black and shades of grey is what i go for. To brighten up things, colorful accessories and bags are my saviors. Here are 2 of my favorite/most used clutch bags for the month.

The 'Clock' bag is from ALDO. Instantly fell in love with it. Goes really well with a jean and a white shirt. Casual yet chic.

'Whammm' clutch is from Mango. A total bargain. Love how bright and funky it is. The size is perfect and can easily fit in your mobile, makeup essentials and wallet.

Are you into funky bags?? How do you like these?

OOTD & FOTD | Zara Jumpsuit

Hello Gorgeous Ladies
Last week i hit gold! Since forever, I've been in the market for a jumpsuit with sleeves and one without a deep neck! Though there were a couple, Zara launched in their Summer collection, nothing really 'awed' me. Luckily, their winter collection brought out JUST what i was looking for.
P.E.R.F.E.C.T!!!
The jumpsuit came with full sleeves which of course i can fold to my convenient length and a decent buttoned up top portion. It comes in Grey which again is quite different from the usual BLACK style. The material is light and comfy.

This particular Jumpsuit can be dressed casual and semi formal which is a big big plus.

Kept my makeup really simple. Pink lip, Blue Nails (Inglot) and finished off with Chanel shades.

Let me know how you like this ensemble...

What's in my NEW Bag?? | TopShop

Hello Angels
Ladies, let me introduce you to my brand new Work Bag from TopShop. It took me literally less than 5 minutes to decide that i wanted this babe in my life.

I love the color combination, i love the flexible material and size. Perfectly fits my LOAD of stuff. I carry quite a bit to work, so though i would love a more feminine looking handbag, for practical reasons i can't. No regrets!

Laptop & charger, Personal notebook/diary, Makeup bag, Eye makeup remover wipes, face spray, shades, 2 phones and wallet! Yup all that fits smartly into this bag. Look professional plus stylish now that's value for money!

Price AED275/USD70

What do you think?? Do you tend to carry a lot to work too? I love a good handbag. Adds so much to your look.

A Day in Life | OOTD & FOTD

Hello Angels
Makeup this month has been a mix of some new and old favorites. Clinique chubby stick, Nars Dual Intensity eyeshadows and Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick has totally won me over. Despite not being a huge eye shadow fan, i constantly reach for Subra. Focusing more on eyes and keeping lips and cheeks simple.

Outfits are basic, simply and airy! Blue on blue is my personal favorite combination with a touch of color. On this particular day it was the Ted Baker Leopard print clutch. How chic...(if i say so myself!!)

Have a great weekend guys...

OOTD | Weekend Edition

Hello Loves
Its been long long since i did a OOTD post. So this weekend i decided refresh my blog with some new OOTD/Fashion feed.

Keeping things very casual here for the weekend. Now though it is Summer and one barely needs a jumper overlay, in Dubai we tend to spend more time indoors. Shopping malls, lounges, movies etc. And i have a low resistance to Air Condition cold. I can tolerate natural cold but not AC. Hmmm....weird?? I think so too....or is this common? (let me know!)

Moving on..
The Shirt is from H&M. A simple sheer baggy shirt. 'M' jumper from Mango. I love love this jumper. It adds a statement and looks very stylish. Leggings from Zara and my new kicks from Call It Spring.

The outfit is very causal yet looks very put together!

How do you like or dislike this ensemble?

Have a safe and lovely weekend ladies..

OOTD | Boyfriend jean addict

Hello Angels
Despite being sick since Sunday with a running nose and an infected throat, i somehow seem to have all the energy to Blog (Only Blog!) Lol....

OK! So boyfriend jeans got me converted! These babies are officially my new Skin!  I got mine from Topshop. Despite the heavy price tag, Topshop was the only store, i felt stocked a good collection and a no of styles.

Especially for the Summers, these are way more comfortable than Skinny. Summers in Middle East esp Dubai are horrendous and one definitely can use some air circulation! The top am wearing is from COS.

I usually tend to wear sneakers with them (am sure even heels go well). White Converse or like on this particular day, floral print one from Primark. During weekends, makeup is minimal. I've gone back to an old favorite Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation. This foundation has been my go-to this summer. Light on skin, medium to heavy coverage and no budging even after some heavy sweating (TMI!!). Read a full review here

For contour and highlighting, i use my beloved Chanel Les Beiges in No 2. Perfume, another favorite (and a must have!) from Jo Malone - Peony & Blush Suede

Lots of SPF + lip balm and am good to go....

What as been your Go To Summer essentials in terms of clothing and makeup? Leave me know....

Satchel Love | Ted Baker

Hello Angels
This month am feeling exceptionally spendy!! Lol...
During my trip to London, and after spotting quite a few Cambridge Satchels on every street, i got rather obsessed with getting one too. So i patiently waited  to get back home (as mentioned before Dubai is much cheaper when it comes to shopping VS London).

So 3 days back i dropped by Bloomingdales with every intention to purchase a Cambridge medium sized satchel. To my surprise they were running a 50% discount too!! I was looking for either a brown or a purple colored one which unfortunately (fortunately, now to think of it) they did not stock. I didn't want to settle for just any color, so walked away hoping they will call me with an update soon!

Here's the twist - On my way back, i spotted a Cambridge Satchel inspired bag at Ted Baker. Slightly more bigger but in jaw dropping beautiful vibrant colors. They had it in Orange, Blue, Green and black. This beaut was almost the same price and frankly i found them way gorgeous than the Original.

The material is real leather, with brown straps. I love everything about this bag, including the fact it was slightly bigger. Because, i intend to use it more as a work bag than a handbag. So after a long debate with myself, i settled for the Blue. How pretty??!!

This can easily house all my stuffs and a laptop if necessary. Looks very work oriented but stylish too. Agree?

Do you like the Cambridge satchel or similar style bags? It was quite the buzz last year...am late to the party but never mind!

Am running a Giveaway on Instagram, do participate if you are based in UAE.

London Shopping | Non Beauty

Hello Angels
Second part to my London shopping spree. Heads up/Spoiler- i did not go all crazy shopping for exclusive/fancy stuffs. Reason being Dubai is much cheaper when it comes to shopping vs London for clothing, Designer stuffs etc

But if you have a weakness for small cute accessories and other regular items then you may enjoy this post after all. Harrods and Selfridges housed some uber cute leather and other accessories. On the other hand, Primark helped me with some cheap and best products. So here is a sneak peek

P.S -I may have bagged some basic tees and tops from Topshop which were on Sale! (Not pictured below. Like I said they are very basic!)

Mini satchel and shoes from Primark
Kate Spade Coffee Tumbler from Selfridges
Key chains | Magnets | Harrods Showpiece
Chocolates | Purse | USB | Harry Potter chocolate wand

Am really into these tiny cute stuffs. I bring magnets from countries i travel to and they go straight on my Refrigerator (I've quite a bit collection going on already! Its like an asset). The shoes from Primark costs me only $11. Excellent buy and look how pretty they are!!

The Coffee Tumbler is yet another favorite. The strips and Pink totally won me over. Costs $31.

Leave me a comment below if you like my 'lil shopping spree and which one is your fav?

Something Different | Chanel iphone case

Hello Angels
Dedicating a blog post for an iphone case! Yes, am kinda going overboard with my new Chanel perfume inspired iphone cover...coz i LOVE it!

I've been eyeing one of these for some time now but the sellers never stocked for 4/4s. As destiny may have it (yes! am a 'lil overwhelmed), i finally came across a local girl selling them, placed an order and the very next day it was delivered to me. I got mine in black but it is available in white too (transparent).

Its not for daily use perhaps. But a fab accessory to own and carry for parties, special occasions etc. It comes with a detachable, long chain

I did manage to find a seller who ships them internationally too for all my Non UAE resident readers (www.lavalierdubai.com). Available for Samsung mobile phones too. Let me know if you buy one.. It costed me US$24.

What are your thoughts, like or not like??

What's in my Mini Bag?

Hello Angels
There was a time i used to walk around with my massive Michael Kors Tote or LongChamp bag EVERYWHERE! Literally....

It did take me a while to realize this not only caused all the shoulder pain i was suffering from but practically and logically speaking i don't have to carry that big a bag always. So i quickly began my search for a mini shoulder bag. Stylish yet practical was what i was looking for and Tory Burch Robinson mini was just the one for me. It comes in delicious looking colors but black had to be choice since it blends in with all attires.

Moving onto what i carry in it. Very very limited stuffs because this indeed is a small and evening kinda bag. My MK wallet, a gift from my love on my b'day takes more than half the space. But i still like to use it, since it houses all my cards (loads) and currency neat and safe. Also it is such a gorgeous looking wallet. I love the vibrant green color!

With the little space that is left, i squeeze in a

Lipstick and Lipgloss - Giorgio Armani's Maestro liquid lipstick 502 is my fav color at the moment (Full review) . And for a nudish lip gloss i use Revlon's Colorburst in 044.
Portable Charger - This perhaps is the MOST important item of all. I cannot step out without my iphone portable charger. Heavy use of 3G drains my battery quick. Its a life saver. This particular one is from Energizer. Compact and sleek.
Perfume - we all need one. I carry the CK Euphoria.
A mini comb

That's it. I really don't need anything more than this. If am heading to a  party, i may not take the wallet but just my cards and use the extra space to keep a blusher and wipes. The bag as a mini zipper inside where i can place my card or cash safely.

So what do you think? Too little or too many stuffs? What do you carry in your mini bag? Can i find a portable charger?

Last few Days of 2013!!

Hello Angels
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! Hope each one of you had a fantastic kick start to 2014!

I had a fabulous week and thought of sharing a few moments with you guys. Firstly almost everyday of this week i was out and about. This also meant i ended up eating out a lot. No complaints though.

My mum and i went for a lovely afternoon tea catch up. I simply love the concept of afternoon tea. It provides immense relaxation and just about the right amount to eat. Sip tea and chit chat! Perfect! Hot drinks were served with standard 3 layered tray of goodies including traditional scones, delicious pastries and sandwiches.

This week i also made time to experience the world famous fast food chain, newly opened in Dubai - Shake Shack. I personally liked their shakes and drinks more than their burgers. What's your personal favorite at Shake Shack?

I wore a blue glitter packed dress on New Year's eve. Detailed pics coming soon ;)

I kept my makeup really simple all through this week, letting my skin take a vacation too. Very much needed! Here is a quick snapshot...

Take care loves. Do let me know how your new year celebration went by.
