Gucci Makeup | Review

Hello Angels
To a large extend i was successful in keeping myself away from Gucci makeup. I wanted to give ME some time before the splurge (Lol!!!). Eventually it happened. I found it very hard to choose among-st their blush range. They were uber pretty.

What stands out instantly when you try on Gucci blush is the texture. Silky smooth and fine. I went for Pink Camelia 060 (beautiful beautiful light pink. The shade in real is more pinkish than given photo below) and Spicy Petal 050 (peachy pink. A warm toned blush)

The packaging is Luxe and Chic. The powder does fall out a little during application. But I've experienced the same with most finely milled powders.

Given an opportunity i may end up buying few more of their blushes but keeping it on hold for now. Because they are expensive. Available at Sephora stores.

Let me know if you have a Gucci favorite.

Guerlain Terracotta Sheer Light Bronzer | Review

Hello Angels
Product of the week - Guerlain Teracotta sheer light bronzer.

Love bronzer? blush? highlighter? What if you get a combination of all 3 in 1 product? Dream come true for girls like me. Guerlain Terracotta light sheer bronzer is one such invention. A mosaic of 5 beautiful shades.

The bronzer beautifully blends shades of sunny brown, pink and hint of shimmer. I love the subtle glow and sun kissed look it leaves behind. Not overdone at any point and looks very natural. You can blend all colors together or adjust towards a more pinker or brownish look as per taste (I love it when products offer flexibility!)

For a more natural look or no makeup look i use this product alone with no extra blush on top. Alternatively, use them on eyelids as eye shadow or for highlight. Available in 4 combinations, variation being in the intensity of brown and pink, making it usable for both blondes and brunettes.

A product i reach for almost everyday now and equals ranking with NARS Lauguna. That being said, the 2 products don't really fall into the same bucket. Lauguna is a hard core bronzer whereas this one does a 'lil bit of all (bronzing, highlighting and blush).

Though may look slightly orangy in the pic above, it is not so in real. I picked for myself the lightest shade in 02 blondes. Cost $50

Packaging is lush. The mosaic pattern inside makes me happy every time i look at it. So pretty!!

Give them a swatch next time you pass by a Guerlain counter and tell me how you like them....
What's your favorite go to bronzer?

Shopping my Stash..

Hello Angels
Got too many makeup? Yes! Guilty? Nope. But definitely guilty of not rotating among products because i may have ignored some truly well deserved products. So this weekend instead of hitting the stores, i shopped my stash...and guess what, i actually found 2 new loves...

Lancome La Base Pro Primer - I am always a 'lil lost as to what a primer actually does. And does one need to use them on a daily basis or just for special occasions. I have been using this product for almost 2 week now and absolutely smitten by it. If you follow me Instagram (@fathoosh), you will spot this one product on all my FOTD posts.

The product feels like applying velvet on your face. No joke, take my word for it. I have used primers before but never experienced this texture. Take a pea size and work it onto your face evenly. You cannot see any visible changes at this point. But the finished look is more natural, smooth and radiant. Take a closer look at your skin, you can tell it as covered the pores and your foundation looks awesome.

I myself noticed the difference after receiving several compliments. A product i will definitely repurchase. Walk over to Lancome counter and test it. US$42.

Next up is a sleek blush - Pomegranate. I recollect loving 'em at the time of purchase, but somehow they were left behind. Nevertheless, i have rediscovered my love for them.  Such a gorgeous Burgundy raspberry pinky shade.

Firstly, let's appreciate the high pigmentation and quantity of these blushes offered by Sleek at $7!!! The packaging is reaallly good with a decent sized mirror. what more?

So when did u shop your stash last? Go ahead, dig a little....

Lancome Ballerine Rose Highlighter | Review

Hello Angels
Lancome's Ballerine 2014 spring collection was one among my most awaited Spring launches. I think i even tweeted about this a couple of times! So finally i got to give them a try and here is my take on my most favorite of all......

Rose Ballerine | Blush Highlighter

Another pink? Why does a girl need soo many pinks, right? Well, honestly i own a lot of pinks from Mac and Chanel but this shade of pink is new to my collection. So NO repeat there! The blush has a gorgeous unique non powdery, finely milled texture, allowing effortless blending. The color i would describe as a soft peachy pink shade with shimmer. Very flattering on cheeks.

It would look stunning on fair skin tones. For my slightly yellow toned skin, i do require a couple of extra swipes but it still gives an amazing natural rosy highlight. You can also use it as a highlighter with any other matte pink blush! For a light colored blush of its kind, it is way well pigmented.

(The mirrored lid makes it extremely difficult to photograph)

Moving onto packaging. I have 2 words for you - Lush. Love. The cute little pink bow does justice to the Ballerine theme. The rose embossing is gorgeous, almost makes you think twice before swiping your brush. Comes with a generously sized mirror too.

It contains a whooping 8g of the product. That's a decent lot for $52.

I definitely see myself using this blush a lot in future. Plus i think i just discovered my go to blush for no makeup look over the weekends!

What do you think? Used a Lancome product before?

Narsissist Cheek Kit | Review

Hello Angels
Squeeeee.....what arrived this Sunday morning, put me on cloud 9! The Narsissist Cheek Kit. To satisfy my rather newly found love for Bronzers, i set myself on a hunt for the perfect one. The answer was quite loud and clear after my so called research. 'Laguna' seemed to have won many hearts.

A brand i have been keeping myself away from, NARS. I knew somehow i would end of up loving their products. Damage is done! I came across their perfect cheek palette. It houses a blush (Orgasm), bronzer (Laguna) and highlighter (Devotee). All 3 basic cheek products in one!

Laguna - I get the hype around this bronzing powder now. Looks rather chocolaty in pan but it is a warm, brown based powder diffused with gold shimmer. Perfect to create a tanned look or in my case for contouring. Very warm, not too dark makes it ideal for all skin tones and buildable too.

Devotee - Am in love! Though a powder, on application it brings in a very unique dewy, wet kinda glow. A wayyy better finish and glow compared to Mac's cream color base in Pearl and Benefits Watt's Up. The tiniest of amount brightens up your face. If it wasn't for this palette, i would have missed owning this absolute winner.

Orgasm - I don't own a single blush in Orgasm color family! Very different from my regular choice of pinks and nudes. This being a part of the palette, there wasn't a choice. The color is peachy orange with shimmer of course. I need a 'lil getting used to wearing this color. Tad bit confused if i can pull it off. That being said, it blends beautifully with Laguna. So after all i may end up using it decently.

Overall i am more than happy purchasing this palette. I can easily carry it around with me. And did i mention it comes with a blush brush too...win win!

Now let me do the math for you. The Narsissist cheek kit costs US$49 for 0.24oz. These are sold individually for approx US$38 for .28oz. Plus you get a blush brush in #20 with the palette. So it roughly costs the same as a single NARS blush. However, i prefer the cheek kit more as it gives me a bit of everything...

Are you a NARS fan? What's you fav NARS product?

Mac Mini Haul | Review

Hello Angels

What's your favorite makeup product among all?? Mine would be without doubt Blush and then perhaps lipstick!

I recently gifted myself 2 Mac blushes - Well dressed and Pink Swoon. I spend a lot of time researching and reading reviews before deciding on a color. And these 2 came out to be very appealing.

My love for well dressed is hard to explain. It sweeps away the title of my 'absolute favorite' color by far among all blushes i own. Light violet with a soft touch of pink. My description does no justice. It appears very light on skin and hence may require a couple of strokes for a visible impact.

Pink swoon - have you heard of Estée Lauders Electric pink? The color is beyond gorgeous. But unfortunately the same is not available in Dubai or on any online stores i checked. As an alternative (though not replacement for Electric pink though) i bagged Pink Swoon by Mac. Gorgeous pink. Looks kinda bright but when applied carefully it leaves behind a gorgeous pretty pink kissed cheeks. Gives your face an instant lift.

Here in Dubai, Mac stores stock less of refills. So though I have a blush palette, I still have to spent more and get one with casing and then depot 'em. What a pain!!

What's your favorite make up product? And help me if you know where I can find Electric pink.

Hope you guys had a Fantastic Christmas...

Micaroon Makeup Launch

Hello Angels
The very existence of this blog reflects my love for cosmetics and makeup. So it is but natural i get excited about new launches! Last week i got to attend the launch party of Micaroon Makeup. Yes, you heard me right - Micaroon! Inspired by the Real Macrons. It is not only the name but the packaging too that is highly inspired by Macrons. I found it bloody cute.

They introduced Lip sticks, Lip glosses, Blush, Eye shadows and Mascara. Other than the Mascara of course everything else comes in cute Macron look alike pots!

I got my hands on their Blush. This one here is called 'TOU'. Lingo for 'beautiful flushed pink'. The texture is creamy, which i like. Well pigmented and gives a very natural glow. Most of their eye shadows are vibrant and fun. I found the quality to be very good too.

These make a very pretty add on to your makeup collection. And I think they make fantastic gifts too. I got one for my friend already. She is a sucker for cute things too like me. The packaging is to die for!

There isn't a wide variety to choose from but nevertheless it is a good kick start. I really like the concept. Micaroon makeup is available only in UAE for now. Blush cost US$15

How did you like this brand? Would you buy one if available? Let me know...
Have you discovered any new brands lately???

Benefit's Rockateur & Hydra Lipcolor | Review

Hello Angels
Time for me to gear up in my Benebabe suit! On my plate i have 2 of the most looked forward to Benefit products for review. Rocketeur blush and Hydra Lipcolor.

Benefit's boxed blushes are very famous among beauty lovers. And the Rocketeur is one of their latest offering. Beside from the gorgeous packaging, i absolutely adore the 'Rock' embossing on the blusher. Makes it more attractive to a girl like me with a weakness for pretty things.

Moving on to performance (i sound like my boss!!)... Rockateur is a shimmery rose gold blusher. As much as i like the color, i was a 'lil doubtful about the shimmer. But i stand corrected. It left a very subtle yet beautiful shimmer behind. Not too bright.

Now here's the trick i wanna share. If you wanna go less glittery and more matte, use the blush from the center only. But if you like the shade with shimmer, swirl your brush into the box in a normal fashion. The glitter is more towards the edges.

I honestly like them with shimmer because they give my cheeks a healthy glow. It comes with a Kabuki style brush. Cost US$28

Moving on to the Lipcolor. Can i say i love the packaging again. The boxing is a keeper. As the name indicates these are Benefit's Lip color/ lip balm mash up. The product is enriched with mango butter,
shea and Vitamin E. It glides on effortlessly and keeps my lip hydrated. I usually use a lip balm underneath my lipstick for hydration but with this product i can totally skip that step.

What i really like is the fact it is available in 10 shades with an option of sheer, medium and full
coverage!!! How clever. I own the 'Wing Women'. A beautiful taupe color.

Do you own any one of these?? Are your a Benefit fan...what's your favorite product?? Let me know...helps me when I go shopping next time. Don't forget to click on the 'Notify Me' checkbox to receive my response ;)

GlamBox feat. Benefit

Hello Angels
To a beauty blogger the happiest moment would be to attend a post full of beauty goodies! Today was one such day!
Today i received my August GlamBox. GlamBox is restricted to Middle East. However, follows the similar concept of GlossyBox, BirchBox etc. So to all my non GCC followers am sorry but everybody loves a good beauty post, right?

August box was a special edition in collaboration with Benefit Beauty Brand. One of my most loved and favorite brand.

Contents
The Porefessional (3ml)
Reduces appearance and intensity of pores and fine lines. I have personally not used this product. However, i will surely give it a try. But i doubt a repurchase, simply because i do not have visible pore problem
Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow (5ml)
One of Benefit's oil free foundation. Comes in 9 shades. Very excited to give it a try. Fingers crossed!
They're Real (3g)
oooo the much raved and hyped about Mascara. I always always wanted to purchase one. Thank you GlamBox, you made things easier for me
Right Total Moisture (8.9g)
Smells heavenly. I can state that for a fact.
Chachatint (2.5ml)
Mango tinted stain that can be used both on Lips and Cheeks. I really liked the color.  But i need to put it on real trial soon.

The Box also included a free brow tint from the Benefit Brow station when a Brow wax is purchased.

All in all i am super excited to use all the products in the box. Let me know if you guys need a review on all or any one of the product. Am at your service!

Now letz do the math! (Being an accountant by profession, i can't help it!!) Is the Box worth the price? For those who are thinking of subscribing this may help
The cost of one box is $20. The product received is worth $57!! Yes, i have considered the sample size to arrive at the above. The Box is definitely giving you products worth more than the price you pay for it. yay!!!!

I am glad the box contains products i would love to buy or give a try. I get a bit annoyed when beauty boxes contains anti ageing and other related products which is of absolute no use to girls of our age.

Are you a Glambox subscriber? Do you own any of the products mentioned above? What in you opinion is the best product among all?

Sleek Blushes

Hello Angels
On Tuesday morning, i had a wonderful surprise awaiting me! On waking up, i saw a small neatly packed courier on my dresser. I had almost lost hope of receiving my Sleek order before my travel and then this happened. Best Day ever!
Ripped opened the package and pulled out my order. Pink Sprint palette and Pomegranate. This is my first sleek purchase and i must say i am in love with not only their blushes but the packaging too. Compact, beautiful, large enough mirror and great quality. 10 on 10. My mum even commented saying 'i think you like the box and packaging more than the product itself'!!  hahah...she knows me well

Moving on to the product (to prove my mum wrong :D) - Very pigmented matte blushes. Especially the ones in the palette. A full fledged swirl of your brush, will end up in you taking wayyyyy more than required. It's that well pigmented. So make sure to use your brushes lightly. This product will hence last longer and i don't see it hitting pan in near future.

A retouch is hardly required. I wore them yesterday for almost 8 hrs and they seemed good as new on my cheeks. Thank god, am just too lazy when it comes to retouching make up!
Cheery on top is the Price. They are so damn reasonable. Plus the site offers international delivery for USD2!! I usually pay at least USD5 on all my online orders. So this was a total happy shopping experience for me.

Am sure to visit the site again and shop. Do tell me if you know any of the Sleek 'must buy' products. How do you like the Sleek brand?

Have a great week guys..
