Favorite 5 Lipsticks (at the moment....)

Hello Angels
Am usually the kind to obsess over one particular color of lippy at a time and then move on to another! But recently my makeup pouch carried 5-6 lipsticks, which i frequently reached for. Extremely glad that i was subconsciously opting for variety of shades (plus they ranged from dark to nude!! Bravo me...)

I really cannot pick a favorite among these 5 lipsticks. So no specific order followed.

Nars Deadly Catch (Hardwired collection) - A deep red with more of a maroon tone to it. The texture is not silky smooth but the same allows the shade to last more on my lips and not budge. It is quite BOLD for me but am extremely enjoying and being showered with compliments. Approved. (Detailed Review)

Nars Anita (Audacious Collection) - Nars again. Audacious lipsticks are one of my favorite launches this year. Texture is uber smooth and pigmentation is fab even the nude shades! This color can be defined as nude/muted dark pink. My Go-To when stepping out casually. (Detailed Review)

(L - R) Nars Deadly Catch, Nars Lip Pencil, YSL Rouge Volupte, Nars Anita and Clinique 01.

YSL Rouge Volupte in No.9 - I've used this lippy to the core (as you can tell....). YSL Rouge Volupte's are must haves. The fact i fell in love with them year back and still continue to obsess over it is a evidence in itself. From texture to pigmentation to color selection to luxurious packaging, this baby ticks all boxes.

Nars Satin Lip Pencil in YU - Fuchsia Fuchsia...every body loves a good fuchsia. And this one is my favorite. Nars Lip pencils are great investments, trust me you will not regret buying them (coming from a girl who owns over 6 of them and counting...). I feel instantly glam in them. (Detailed Review)

Clinique Chubby Stick in 01 Curviest Caramel - Hydrating and pigmented. A throw on color when you can't be bothered to wear much makeup or when your lip need some extra moisture. (Detailed Review)

Since we are talking about lipsticks, 2 of my favorite lip tools are Zoeva portable lip contour brush (No.330) and Sephora sharpener. Reasonably priced, brilliant quality and will last you ages.

Clarins Autumn MakeUp Collection 2014 | Review

Hello Angels
Carrying on with the Autumn/Fall theme...
Clarin 2014 MakeUp Collection - This collection as 'ME' written all over it. From Lipsticks to Eyeshadows, each and every color/texture is right up my ally! Now how often does that happen??

Rouge Eclat Lipsticks

Feels very light and soft on lips, well pigmented with a berry scent to it (reminds me of Shisha!!). The texture feels super smooth and is easy to apply. My personal favorite colors are Red Fuchsia and Strawberry Sorbet.

Tip - Since the formula is light and balm like, darker shades like Red Fuchsia tends to fad away or move towards border line of lips. Set the lipstick using powder and then go for a second coat to seal the deal!

Build Up - The Nutir Complex ingredients helps dehydrate and supply Vitamin E. Clarins claims it to be their Age Defying Lipsticks.

AED 119/USD27

Ombre Matte Eye Shadows

I heart Matte...
And these Cream to Powder eye shadows are gorgeous. Love love the texture and settles in well. It is hard for me to pick a favorite, but Earth (06), Nude Beige (01), Rosewood (04) and Sparkle Grey (05) where most reached for last week.

AED109/USD 24

From L - R, Strawberry Sorbet (18), Candy Rose (16), Pink Magnolia (17), and Red Fuchsia (20)

 From L - R, Taupe (03), Nude Beige (01), Nude Pink (02), Sparkle Grey (05), Rosewood (04) and
Earth (06)

Which Lip shade or Eye shadow did you like the most? Are you a Clarins Beauty fan?

Clinique Chubby Stick Intense Moisturizing Balm | Review

Hello Angels
Whilst slipping a Chubby Stick into my shopping basket, i was thinking in my mind ' mmm...let's see what all that fuss about you is, doll!!'

The shade i picked, Curviest Caramel is a nude pink.

Lip Balm infused with Lipstick, is perhaps the best definition. Thumbs up on a  moisturizing and pigmentation front. Past 3+ hours it leaves a hint of color behind. I love when lipsticks does that, completely serves the purpose right?

The shade has a slight sheen to it but since am a 'no shine on lips' person, i dab my fingers after application to create a matte look.

All shades available are on the darker side except for this one i picked. So girls who love their light pinks and light nudes, this collection may let you down tad bit. It contains Castor seed oil, Shea butter and Mango seed butter, which explains the good moisture lock.

I would definitely recommend the product and this shade especially, which is soon becoming my favorite after Nars Cruella.

Cost AED102/USD17

Are you a chubby stick fan? Let me know your fav shade if so......

YSL Baby Doll Kiss&Blush | Review

Hello Angels
I love using my favorite cream blushes on lips (Creme De Chanel and Topshop cream blushes to name a few). But since they leave my lips very dry, i resist from using them often.

Here is a product that was meant to be used for both lips and cheeks. YSLs Baby Doll Kiss & Blush created much anticipation and excitement among beauty lovers. The texture is silky/mousse smooth. A product it reminded me of is NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream (a personal favorite), only 3 times smoother. On cheeks i dot the product wherever required and then blend away gently, mostly with my finger tips.

They don't dry out on lips but at same time the lasting power is not soo impressive. That being said, they last for more than a decent couple of hours as a blush!!

(Pink Hedoniste in No 8, Soft Pink shade)

Available in 14 amazing shades. I really had a hard time deciding on a color to try out the product. Now that am really happy with it, am soon going to bag a few more! Trust me you will find it extremely hard to stop at just one shade.

The packaging is gorgeous and quite unique with a standard YSL design applicator. The concept makes it a travel friendly, 2 in 1 product too.

Over all, a must have product for the sake of beautiful shades, lasting power as a blush and a decent lippy. US$50 /AED 180

Have you tired this product yet? Which is your favorite cream blush till date?

MaxFactor & Givenchy Lipsticks | Review

Hello Angels
Lipsticks Lipsticks and more Lipsticks...the obsession doesn't stop! I was recently sent 2 Max Factor lipsticks. Never owned a  Max Factor lipstick before and these in particular didn't seem to interest me much either. But being the kind of make up addict i am, i surely gave them and was 'WOWED'....

The texture is uber smooth and moisturizing. I would say equivalent to a lip balm, but well well pigmented. The red one is called 'Ruby Tuesday' and pink 'Eternal Flame'. Out of the two, my pick would be Ruby Tuesday. It is such a gorgeous color. Red in itself is a stunner, and this one in particular looks amazing. Don't bother yourself with a lip gloss. Everything is taken care of. I love the embossing on 'em but the packaging though pretty is too light. I prefer the bullets slightly heavy. The swatches don't do justice to Ruby Tuesday, the color is much more vibrant than it looks on my hand.

Moving on from a drugstore lippie to a high end brand, Le Rouge Givenchy 203 Rose Dantelle. Got mine from Sephora. It was an impulsive buy to be honest. But i looooove the color. The formula is just about OK. I would say 6/10. Not very moisturizing and you will need to touch up. The packaging is one of a kind. The bullet is wrapped in real leather, bringing that extra extra glam & luxury.

Which among the above did you like?

Pink Love

Hello Angels
Am gravitating towards pink a lot lately. There was a phase when all you would spot me wearing was a red lippy and polish and now am reaching for all shades of pink. From lipstick - Blush - Nail polish.

Here are some of my most commonly reached for items this week. Since i have turned into such a nail paint freak, i cannot but stress on how much i love Essie's Lovie Dovie and Chanel's May. The latter was a gift from a dear friend on my b'day! Yes, she knows me veryyy well. It is a gorgeous muted pink and one of the best selling colors of Chanel. However, i am not a huge fan of  Chanel polishes when it comes to finish, compared to Dior.

Chanel cream blushers are must haves. The one i own is Inspiration (64). The texture is creamy but whilst application it turns into a smooth powdery texture, making it a dream to work with. They come in several beautiful shades from dark to light. Easily blendable with bare fingers. Pop into a near by store and give them a try.

Makeup Forever Mascara | Bobbi Brown foundation | Chanel Le Blanc Whitening Base | Chanel May Polish |  YSL Radiance Blush
Chanel Perfection Lumiere | Essie Lovie Dovie | Mac Pink Nouveau | Chanel cream blush Inspiration

Needless to say i incorporated all my favorite pinks and mandatory red for Valetines day special nail art...

So what's your favorite pink product? Be it a polish or nail paint. How do you like Chanel's May?

Happy Valentines Day my loves

YSL Rouge Volupte No 9 | Review

Hello Angels
This week i was mostly sick. Down with fever and a running nose! As a 'pick me up' treat, i took myself for a 'lil shopping spree to Sephora. Shopping at Sephora can be a pain when attacked left, right and center by sales staff and one is not let to try & test products at our own pace.

Luckily for me, i was left unattended this time around. (Perhaps it was my feverish 'Blah' look that drove 'em away!!)  I got 2 lipsticks and 1 blush. I will be reviewing all in separate posts. Here is what i got first...

YSL Rouge Volupte - Silky Radiant Lipstick in No 9 (Rose Caresse)

Needless to say YSLs Rouge Volupte is extremely famous in the beauty industry and among make up lovers. I somehow never got down to buying them. So this would be my first of many. I say so quite confidently because it is amazeballs! Completely get the rave now. The texture is fantastic and highly moisturizing. The perfect well pigmented yet 'buttery feel' lipstick. Glides onto your lips like a dream.

Since the lipstick is uber silky and smooth i had my doubts on its lasting power. Fortunately i stand corrected and impressed to say the least. Long lasting is yet another major win win feature with this product. The glossy finish

Now can i get down to packaging? Look at this beauty. Encased in stunning beautiful gold. The perfect accessory to your vanity table or make up bag. The casing makes the product slightly heavier compared to other lipsticks in the market. I personally like it because the same gives me better grip during application.

My Sephora store had them in 18 shades. But i guess stock differs from region to region. Cost $34. Pricey, yes! But i guarantee this will beat your Mac or any other drugstore favorite. There is no way you can go wrong with this baby...

Do you own one? Or late to party like me? Tell me about one holy grail lippie of yours...

Have a glamorous weekend lovelies

Benefit's Rockateur & Hydra Lipcolor | Review

Hello Angels
Time for me to gear up in my Benebabe suit! On my plate i have 2 of the most looked forward to Benefit products for review. Rocketeur blush and Hydra Lipcolor.

Benefit's boxed blushes are very famous among beauty lovers. And the Rocketeur is one of their latest offering. Beside from the gorgeous packaging, i absolutely adore the 'Rock' embossing on the blusher. Makes it more attractive to a girl like me with a weakness for pretty things.

Moving on to performance (i sound like my boss!!)... Rockateur is a shimmery rose gold blusher. As much as i like the color, i was a 'lil doubtful about the shimmer. But i stand corrected. It left a very subtle yet beautiful shimmer behind. Not too bright.

Now here's the trick i wanna share. If you wanna go less glittery and more matte, use the blush from the center only. But if you like the shade with shimmer, swirl your brush into the box in a normal fashion. The glitter is more towards the edges.

I honestly like them with shimmer because they give my cheeks a healthy glow. It comes with a Kabuki style brush. Cost US$28

Moving on to the Lipcolor. Can i say i love the packaging again. The boxing is a keeper. As the name indicates these are Benefit's Lip color/ lip balm mash up. The product is enriched with mango butter,
shea and Vitamin E. It glides on effortlessly and keeps my lip hydrated. I usually use a lip balm underneath my lipstick for hydration but with this product i can totally skip that step.

What i really like is the fact it is available in 10 shades with an option of sheer, medium and full
coverage!!! How clever. I own the 'Wing Women'. A beautiful taupe color.

Do you own any one of these?? Are your a Benefit fan...what's your favorite product?? Let me know...helps me when I go shopping next time. Don't forget to click on the 'Notify Me' checkbox to receive my response ;)

Chanel Love | Review

Hello my lovelies...
My twitter/Instagram followers are well aware of my recent cosmetic purchase. I left home for a pick me up shopping spree and this is what i returned with. It wasn't a random buy. A decent Red Lipstick and a Primer was on my wishlist for quite sometime now. Though it was a coincident that my research led me to 2 Chanel products. Not very healthy for my wallet. Lol

Chanel Rouge Coco 25
First the Red Lippy. I am very conscious when it comes to wearing a red lip. I own a Red lipstick from Elizabeth Arden's special edition. But not a big fan of it. When the Sales lady at Chanel counter tried this particular red lipstick on me, I told myself  'gal, u look pretty!!'. For the first time I felt I could pull off a Red lip. It applies smoothly and easily onto your lip. And stays put for a decent no of hours. You may have to retouch after 3 hrs. But no complaints. It isn't too bright. For me it is the Perfect red.
Cost $45

Chanel Le Blanc (light revealing whitening makeup base)
Moving on to the Primer. Frankly i am not a primer person. I don't feel the need to apply a primer most often and also believe they don't enhance your look much. But after trying out this product, i was converted. Out of the 3 shades available, i picked Rosee. The color of the primer is very whitish. But once you apply your foundation on top of it, it gives you a luminous look. Something we all wish to attain.

I love the texture and smell. Easy to apply and it does bring in a notetable change in your appearance. I may not use it everyday but when the occasion calls for glamour, i will definitely reach for this product. It is definitely expensive. But since it is not a staple product in my daily routine, it will last long.
Cost $90. SPF 35.

Needless to say, Chanel packaging defines luxury and style.

Additionally, if any of you need a Sigma discount of 10%, email to my contact address. Only if you genuinely intend to make a purchase before September month end.

Which is your favorite Red lipstick and primer? Let me know so that i can experiment a little. What is your favorite Chanel product?

Ultimate 3 hits for the month! | Review

Hello Angels
Never have I been so desperate to write a post! I am in love  with not one or two but 3 products!! On a  normal basis, I would take at least 2 weeks to review a product. Well, with these loves am making an exception...so here goes

Maybelline Eye Liner in Vert Couture
OMG! This is perhaps the mooooost prettiest color I have ever seen among eye liners. A beautiful peacock green. I do realize the color is a little overboard for an everyday use. But when the day calls for a fun, fancy and vibrant look, you can always reach for it. Infact I used it for last night's party. The theme was Arabian nights & i went for a smoky eye coupled with liquid gel liner to my lash line and this pretty green on my water line.  Another alternative style you may go for, is by blending it on to your lash line with black eye shadow. This looks equally pretty and a 'lil less dramatic!

Maybelline Color Sensational  Lipstick in Iced Caramel 625
My hunt for the perfect nude ended when I bagged this love. This color was my dream definition of a nude lipstick. It stays put for a decent no of hours. Excellent formula  Very Moisturizing (it slides on to your lips effortlessly!) and gives a lovely finish. This is my first purchase from Maybelline's color sensational line. But am sure to go back and try their other shades. The collection holds a wide range to choose from.

Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede Lipstick in Preview 070
Another Hit. Its a lip gloss/lipstick. Such a beautiful color. Extremely moisturizing and gives you a good wear The line sells over 20 shades, however here in Dubai we have around 12 shades or so only. Yet no complaints, i love pretty much all shades and hoping to bag a few more soon. Adore the packaging. Very sleek and compact.

How do you like my buys? What are your thoughts on Maybelline Color Sensational and Revlon Color stay lipsticks? Have a great weekend lovelies...
