Clarins True Radiance Foundation | Review

Hello Angels

May i say Clarins is definitely deepening its wallet share. I am absolutely loving almost all the products i have tried from them this year. Starting from their Instant Concealer to Winter collection and now this amazing foundation.

Standout feature of this product simply got to be its texture! Imagine how your favorite moisturizer feels on skin. Well, this babe provides a similar touch + does an above average job as a foundation.

Uber light and smooth on skin. Medium coverage that can be build to full. The texture is liquid-y but that doesn't bother me much. The final look is dewy and not everyone's preferred cup of 'dewiness'. But the same can be resolved with the help of a matte setting powder. So no worries on that front.

The foundation focuses on reducing dullness and keeping skin hydrated. Formulated with pigments meant to reflect light and increase radiance.

The foundation is on a neck to neck battle with my favorite Dior Star foundation. Now that says it all. Definitely a must try ladies.

What are your favorite picks from Clarins?

Erase those Bags | Clarins Instant Concealer

Hello Angels
Lets talk about those heavy duty bags ladies! Even on a 'No makeup' day, i cheat, thanks to my very evident and visible dark circles. My holy grail concealer has been Makeup Forever Full cover concealer for almost 2 years. Yes i have used many many tubes of that heavy industrial product! Lol..

Here's the twist - I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try a new product this month. Settled for Clarins Instant Concealer after some serious hours of Googling (my purchase for foundations and concealers are never spontaneous! I research!)

Firstly may i say, the texture of this product is beyond amazing. Silky velvety smooth. Especially if you have used Full Cover by Makeupforever or any other concealer with a thick / hard-to-blend texture, this product is a revelation. It knocks of my dark shadow immediately without having to pile on layers. The smooth texture allows you to build up and still not look like you have ton of concealer on. And that for me is a True Blessing! Little goes a long way too.

Now for those thinking creamy concealers crease, the answer is No. I apply the product and then buff it in with a beauty blender. Finally set it using a powder. Never as it creased on me.

The concealer comes in 4 shades. Mine in No3.

AED145/USD 32

In the market for a concealer??

Clarins Autumn MakeUp Collection 2014 | Review

Hello Angels
Carrying on with the Autumn/Fall theme...
Clarin 2014 MakeUp Collection - This collection as 'ME' written all over it. From Lipsticks to Eyeshadows, each and every color/texture is right up my ally! Now how often does that happen??

Rouge Eclat Lipsticks

Feels very light and soft on lips, well pigmented with a berry scent to it (reminds me of Shisha!!). The texture feels super smooth and is easy to apply. My personal favorite colors are Red Fuchsia and Strawberry Sorbet.

Tip - Since the formula is light and balm like, darker shades like Red Fuchsia tends to fad away or move towards border line of lips. Set the lipstick using powder and then go for a second coat to seal the deal!

Build Up - The Nutir Complex ingredients helps dehydrate and supply Vitamin E. Clarins claims it to be their Age Defying Lipsticks.

AED 119/USD27

Ombre Matte Eye Shadows

I heart Matte...
And these Cream to Powder eye shadows are gorgeous. Love love the texture and settles in well. It is hard for me to pick a favorite, but Earth (06), Nude Beige (01), Rosewood (04) and Sparkle Grey (05) where most reached for last week.

AED109/USD 24

From L - R, Strawberry Sorbet (18), Candy Rose (16), Pink Magnolia (17), and Red Fuchsia (20)

 From L - R, Taupe (03), Nude Beige (01), Nude Pink (02), Sparkle Grey (05), Rosewood (04) and
Earth (06)

Which Lip shade or Eye shadow did you like the most? Are you a Clarins Beauty fan?

My Night Skincare Routine

Hello Angels
A post, pending for long in my list of deliverables. For most part of last year i was constantly switching between products. But now it is finally safe to say i have settled. And indeed very happy with my routine. So here is a step by step run through my night routine. A few of the products mentioned below are already reviewed in detail on my blog and hence click on 'em to read the respective posts.

Step 1 - I begin with removing my make up with much loved Bioderma. Two pads of cotton and i should be good to move to step 2

Step 2 - Philosophy is a well known brand for skin care and body wash. I use their Purity Foaming Face and Eye cleansing gel. Though introduced very recently into my routine, i am absolutely loooving it. When it comes to face washes am a 'lil particular! Because though many available in the market may cleanse your skin well, they leave a dry feeling skin behind.  This product on the other hand, not only does a good job cleansing but also moisturizes my face. No dry, harsh, rubber-skin kinda feeling!!!! (rubber skin!! i just made that word up...too keen to express my feelings)

Step 3 - Moving on, after the face wash, next up comes Clarins Toner. After all that cleansing you skin needs to loosen up and breath. I use a cotton pad to swipe my T zone, where in it tend to get a little oily. Especially around the nose. Make sure you choose a toner that suits your skin type. One with Alcohol is never good!

Step 4 - here things get a little complicated. I use any of the below mentioned 3 products after toning.
Caudalie or Philosophy's Purity mineral oil or Kiehl's Ultra facial cream. Massaging your face is extremely important. It triggers blood circulation and brings a natural glow to your face by morning. I massage my face perhaps 3 times a week using either Caudalia or Philosophy. Both does almost the same job but i love Caudalia more.

On other days, i use Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream. The perfect cream for my needs. It moisturizes my face beautifully. Leaves them balanced and moisturized. No oily or greasy feeling.

Step 5 - Have a good nights sleep. Perhaps the most important of all, is to sleep for a good 7 hours at least!

Ground Rule - Never hit bed without removing your make up off.

So how simple or complicated it your night skincare routine? What are your favorite picks?

Clarins Daily Energizer Cream | Review

Hello Angels
Hope you ladies are having a lovely weekend.
Though am a beauty blogger, i always play safe with beauty and skincare products. I don't get my hands on every single new product that comes to market. I do my research well, before actual purchase. One among my qualified/eligible to invest products was Clarins skincare.

Clarins Daily Energizer Cream
Its been quite sometime now that i have been wanting to try out Clarins skincare. And this month i finally decided to splurge!

My skin is normal to dry. My major concerns are dry patches, slight pigmentation and blemishes. This particular product promises hydration, freshness and a healthy glowing skin. I have used it for about 2 weeks now and the results are quite obvious. My dry patches (i had 2, visible ones near my chin and forehead) completely disappeared without trace. Red spots on my cheeks are fading away (one can hardly make out their presence now) and my skin looks healthy. Like literally healthy and bright!!!

I apply the cream twice a day - Day and Night. In Dubai, especially during summers your skin requires a lot of hydration and moisture. And this 'lil jar contains just want i need.
It applies very smoothly and easily on to your skin and doesn't make it oily or greasy. It can be applied without fear under your foundation as a good base. To top it all up, the cream as such an amazing yet subtle scent. The soothing fragrance is just want one can ask for before hitting bed.

What drew me to the product at the time of purchase were 2 of its ingredients, Tumeric and Ginkgo biloba extracts. Tumeric is known for its skincare benefits. It gives the skin a healthy glow and tackles problems like hyper pigmentation. Ginkgo biloba is a herb extracted from an Asian tree know as Ginkgo, known for its anti aging and anti bacterial capabilities. The extract helps keep the skin clean from bacteria plus maintains skin elasticity.

All in all, this product is keeping my skin very happy and satisfied. It costs $40 for 30ml. Pricey, but i consider it a good investment. What is your favorite Clarins product?? Have you found your holy grail yet??

Skincare Haul

Hello Angels
I have been on a cosmetic diet for 1 month, and this weekend i took a break!
Convinced that my Vichy Day Cream was doing absolute no good to my skin, i decided to move on and keep hunting. Clarins is one brand known for keeping up with customer expectations. My dilemma was to decide which particular range of Clarins skin care to opt for. After a days research i settled on the Daily Energizer range. This range includes a Day Cream/Lotion, Toner and a Cleansing Gel.

It targets to reduce dry patches and hydrate skin. And that being the much hoped for result i seek. Fingers crossed. I will surely blog a review on them in near future.

Moving on, to another well known Skincare brand - REN. Being a beauty junky that i am, i made sure to invest in REN last month but unfortunately that did not go very well (Click here to know what am talking about ). On reading my review, the lovely people at REN took no offense but offered me help. They inquired on my specific skincare needs and accordingly advised a few products.

And today, from a beauty geek's perspective, i received my kinda favorite goodies! A whole lot of REN skincare products sent to me for testing. This included 2 products i was dying to try, the Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask and Omega 3 Night Repair Serum. Fingers crossed again. I promise to do a review on all.

Last on the list but not the least, is a Bath & Body Works product. Firstly may i ask, how many of you LOVE the scent of Eucalyptus? 'I love them' would be an understatement! Because i am insanely crazy about its scent. Now though there are many eucalyptus based products, most of them do not come anywhere near the actual fragrance. Fortunately, last night when i was on a 'lil trip to BBW, i found their Eucalyptus Spearmint anti stress lotion.

Eucalyptus oil is a natural stress buster and i would say this lotion does the job fairly well. 192ml bottle for $12.

Do let me know your thoughts on the above mentioned products. I would love to know.
Have an awesome, fun and safe weekend
