OOTD | Weekend Edition

Hello Loves

Its been long long since i did a OOTD post. So this weekend i decided refresh my blog with some new OOTD/Fashion feed. 

Keeping things very casual here for the weekend. Now though it is Summer and one barely needs a jumper overlay, in Dubai we tend to spend more time indoors. Shopping malls, lounges, movies etc. And i have a low resistance to Air Condition cold. I can tolerate natural cold but not AC. Hmmm....weird?? I think so too....or is this common? (let me know!)

Moving on..

The Shirt is from H&M. A simple sheer baggy shirt. 'M' jumper from Mango. I love love this jumper. It adds a statement and looks very stylish. Leggings from Zara and my new kicks from Call It Spring. 

The outfit is very causal yet looks very put together!

Something Different | Chanel iphone case

Hello Angels

Dedicating a blog post for an iphone case! Yes, am kinda going overboard with my new Chanel perfume inspired iphone cover...coz i LOVE it! 

I've been eyeing one of these for some time now but the sellers never stocked for 4/4s. As destiny may have it (yes! am a 'lil overwhelmed), i finally came across a local girl selling them, placed an order and the very next day it was delivered to me. I got mine in black but it is available in white too (transparent). 

Its not for daily use perhaps. But a fab accessory to own and carry for parties, special occasions etc. It comes with a detachable, long chain

 

I did manage to find a seller who ships them internationally too for all my Non UAE resident readers (www.lavalierdubai.com). Available for Samsung mobile phones too. Let me know if you buy one.. It costed me US$24.

We had a long weekend here in Dubai this time. Lonng weekends are always good especially when they allow more shopping time!!♥

Chanel Perfection Lumiere Foundation

After my disaster with Estee Lauder Double wear, i was yet to repurchase another foundation. Till then Bourjois healthy mix was my go to foundation. I gave myself 2 options either repurchase another Estee Lauder, which i absolutely LOVE. Or try a new one. Given the nature of a beauty blogger i went with option 2!! No surprises there♥

I have never used a Chanel foundation before. This was one of my many justifications. I am yet to use this one, hence its too early for a review. However, i must say it carries gorgeous fragrance!  What are your thoughts about this foundation??

 Urban Decay Naked Palette 2

No introduction required for this winner here. Needless to say they rock in every way. It was a gift to me by my sister and i have been using them religiously since then. The perfect perfect palette. Most colors are with shimmer when compared to the original. Worth the price & a must have in every girls make up collection. I can brag about it all day long day...

Another Gift

 I rearranged my dresser. Mainly because of the new vintage/miniature table my parents got me. How adorable does it look? I use it to place a few of my cosmetics & i love the feels it adds to my dresser.♥

All set for another week plus looking forward to my swiss pars trip in 2 weeks. Exciting!♥

Juicy Couture Spree

Hello Angels

My weekend kick started with rain, thunder, lightning and Juicy Couture sale!! All in all the prefect beginning. Living in a desert you may realize how happy it made me when it started pouring in Dubai yesterday. Followed by a quick trip to Juicy Couture to check out their sale. I love their accessories way more than their clothing collection.

Accessories were reduced by almost 75%!! ahh! imagine my excitement. I looked very much like a toddler left loose. Picked 3 bracelets. 2 of them very similar to each other. One with stone and the other without. Even the tiniest of detail on the bracelet is very pretty. Gold colored arm candies are my favorite. They look so luxurious and rich.

How do you like my 'lil shopping spree buys? Do you own any Juicy Couture? I can't resist the urge to visit the store once again. Hopeless me!!

My New Wallet..

Hope all are having a great week!

 I had mentioned in my last post, about my hunt for a wallet. I had my eyes peeled on the Kate spade collection. And had even decided to get them. However, my plans were soon to change. 

The only 2 must haves in my check list were
♥ Plenty of card slots
♥ just enough space for bills (by habit i always carry less cash with me. Bad news for pickpockets)  

Now comes the twist! Last eve I went shopping with my sis and found this awesome wallet by Charles and Keith. Way less expensive than KS, great quality & very stylish.

Yes, I agrees the wallet is quite big from a normal one. But I lovveed it anyhow. There are times when i do not want to walk around holding a heavy handbag. This comes in handy then.

♥ Plenty of room for bills. 

 ♥ Separate card holder placed inside the wallet. It can hold 16 cards 

♥ Usable as a mini clutch

♥ Can house my iphone & may be even a lipgloss (Bonus!) 

♥ Vibrant color (Also available in Pink and Blue)

For now all the handbags i own can easily fit this wallet. If the occasion calls for a smaller bag, i can simply use the card holder alone. Its an absolute winner for me. And i see myself using it for long. No second thoughts on giving up KS after spotting this star

OOTD & FOTD | Zara Jumpsuit

Hello Gorgeous Ladies

Last week i hit gold! Since forever, I've been in the market for a jumpsuit with sleeves and one without a deep neck! Though there were a couple, Zara launched in their Summer collection, nothing really 'awed' me. Luckily, their winter collection brought out JUST what i was looking for. 

P.E.R.F.E.C.T!!!

The jumpsuit came with full sleeves which of course i can fold to my convenient length and a decent buttoned up top portion. It comes in Grey which again is quite different from the usual BLACK style. The material is light and comfy.

This particular Jumpsuit can be dressed casual and semi formal which is a big big plus. 

Kept my makeup really simple. Pink lip, Blue Nails (Inglot) and finished off with Chanel shades.

Swiss Paris Shopping #1

I am thrilled that it is June finally! Reason being this month i am flying to Paris & Switzerland.
Woop Woop!! Super excited about the trip and why shouldn't i be??!!
I prefer to travel light and wear comfy clothes. But when Paris is involved how can i not go for something smart and fashionable??
Since its going to be a very busy 2 week for me at work before travel, i have started early on my shopping list. So here are a couple of items i bagged last week.

Topshop Blazer ♥
OMG! Love at first sight. The color is beyond awesome. The cutting is perfect. Everything about this blazer is gorgeous. Paired with a Black slim fit trouser is a total win win.

Sweat shirt - H&M ♥

The black and white strips finished with a neat black knit on hands woe me. I am thinking of pairing it with a Maroon trouser.

Love the color combination. Long enough to style it in different ways.

A random post about a few things i picked up over the weekend
Customized Cupcakes
Have you seen anything more adorable? It was a gift to my dear friend on her baby shower. I ordered them from Bloomsbury Cafe. Their cakes are to die for. The right amount of Chocolate, the right amount of sugar...everything is perfect ♥ Since i wasn't sure if its going to be a girl or a boy, i mixed both themes. How smart!!

Aeropostale Flats/Sandals
I am not a huge fan of Aero clothing line. But they were on sale this week and these lovely bright neon flats caught my eye instantly. These are my first pair of actual neon footwear and i am loving 'em ♥ I feel its perfect for me because i tend to dress in shades of black mostly and this will help me add that extra BLING factor to my outfit.

H&M 

I got the below nail care set from H&M. Perhaps not of the best of best quality. But its sufficient to get the work done in a go. 

REN Vita Mineral Day Cream

Absolute no intro required for this very famous skin care brand. Its all over the internet and youtube. Well that justifies my purchase...:) I was on a look out for a good daily moisturizer and came across this one. Its too early for me to state an opinion however, you can expect a detailed review soon. Have you used it? Do share your views please.

Arabian Night

Hello Angels

So last week there was yet another family get together. It was super awesome and we had loads of fun. The best part was the dress up! Party theme was Arabian Nights. So basically both men and women had to dress up in Traditional Arabian attires. The ladies wore Jalabiya (long flowy maxy kinda dress) and men in Kandura (Almost the same description).

My hunt for Jalabiya went on for almost 2 days until i found the ONE. Shopping for my husband proved equally difficult. We had traditional dances, lots of games, lighting Chinese lanterns and of course a full fledged Arabic Cuisine. All in all a fun happy night ♥

London Shopping | Non Beauty

Hello Angels

Second part to my London shopping spree. Heads up/Spoiler- i did not go all crazy shopping for exclusive/fancy stuffs. Reason being Dubai is much cheaper when it comes to shopping vs London for clothing, Designer stuffs etc

But if you have a weakness for small cute accessories and other regular items then you may enjoy this post after all. Harrods and Selfridges housed some uber cute leather and other accessories. On the other hand, Primark helped me with some cheap and best products. So here is a sneak peek 

P.S -I may have bagged some basic tees and tops from Topshop which were on Sale! (Not pictured below. Like I said they are very basic!)

Am really into these tiny cute stuffs. I bring magnets from countries i travel to and they go straight on my Refrigerator (I've quite a bit collection going on already! Its like an asset). The shoes from Primark costs me only $11. Excellent buy and look how pretty they are!!

The Coffee Tumbler is yet another favorite. The strips and Pink totally won me over. Costs $31.

Ladies, let me introduce you to my brand new Work Bag from TopShop. It took me literally less than 5 minutes to decide that i wanted this babe in my life.

I love the color combination, i love the flexible material and size. Perfectly fits my LOAD of stuff. I carry quite a bit to work, so though i would love a more feminine looking handbag, for practical reasons i can't. No regrets!

Review on Tory Burch Flats.

Hope you guys are having a rocking week! 

As of for me, last month I had a new member added to my much loved ballet flats collection - Caroline Mestico flats by Tory Burch

Expensive? Yes, but totally worth than buying 5 cheaper ones. Yes, the feeling of investing a lumpsum is difficult but if your sure to get full use out of it, i don't see the problem.
 So far my favorite pair of flats were by Sam Edelman. But these babies have made it to the list too ♥

I did have to go through my share of blister attacks but fortunately that didn't last long. They are extremely comfortable and go easy on your foot. The elastic lining rests smoothly on your feet without leaving any harsh marks. This particular version comes in two colors navy blue with white border and the light chocolaty one i bought.

I enjoy looking down my feet and admiring these lovelies! They look super trendy and classy ♥

The only con I faced, which am hoping will soon be remedied is, i found them slightly slippery!!! Every time I am on an elevator i tend to slide off! Plus while walking if I make a sudden halt i end up creating a dramatic slippery woooshh stop. Am guessing as I get more use out of it, the bottoms will roughen up, giving me better hold on the ground....

Last few Days of 2013!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! Hope each one of you had a fantastic kick start to 2014! 

I had a fabulous week and thought of sharing a few moments with you guys. Firstly almost everyday of this week i was out and about. This also meant i ended up eating out a lot. No complaints though. 

My mum and i went for a lovely afternoon tea catch up. I simply love the concept of afternoon tea. It provides immense relaxation and just about the right amount to eat. Sip tea and chit chat! Perfect! Hot drinks were served with standard 3 layered tray of goodies including traditional scones, delicious pastries and sandwiches. 

This week i also made time to experience the world famous fast food chain, newly opened in Dubai - Shake Shack. I personally liked their shakes and drinks more than their burgers. What's your personal favorite at Shake Shack?

I wore a blue glitter packed dress on New Year's eve. Detailed pics coming soon ;)

I kept my makeup really simple all through this week, letting my skin take a vacation too. Very much needed! Here is a quick snapshot...
