Hello Angels

Yes, this post is not about make up or cosmetics but my ultimate weakness - Baking!

My beloved cousin is pregnant and we decided to throw her a surprise baby shower this weekend. My task was to bake cupcakes. Hardly a task cause i love baking and cooking. Though i hardly get time for both due to my hectic work schedule. 

So today morning, i put on my baking apron and got to work. The color combination was obvious being baby shower. I baked double chocolate fudge cake and added baby blue and pink frosting to it.

I thoroughly enjoyed the day with cakes, pastries and family. The unexpected twist of course was me being crowned the next 'Mommy To Be'!! Yes, as a custom in our family we draw lots at the end of the party and choose the next couple to deliver the 'Good News'. A fun family custom (of course i am not taking it seriously!)

Arabian Night

Hello Angels

So last week there was yet another family get together. It was super awesome and we had loads of fun. The best part was the dress up! Party theme was Arabian Nights. So basically both men and women had to dress up in Traditional Arabian attires. The ladies wore Jalabiya (long flowy maxy kinda dress) and men in Kandura (Almost the same description).

My hunt for Jalabiya went on for almost 2 days until i found the ONE. Shopping for my husband proved equally difficult. We had traditional dances, lots of games, lighting Chinese lanterns and of course a full fledged Arabic Cuisine. All in all a fun happy night ♥

What have i been upto this week?? Quite obvious if you take a glance at the picz!

I have been eating, partying and enjoying. This week began with a lovely breakfast with my best chum ♥. Followed by a family meal at a local restaurant (steak and Arabic cuisine). 

The black dress was my valentine outfit. Then of course was the yacht party with my colleagues yesterday. Perfect climate, perfect ambiance and perfect company. The view couldn't get any better...♥

This kitten is just 5 week old and belongs to my cousin's friend. She shared these cute, gorgeous pictures with me and I had to share them with you guys. I have it on as my display pic on iPhone. OMG, speechless adorable....

Family get Together 2013!♥

The time has come when I can finally talk about it and get it out of my stomach. I swear the whole thing was swirling inside my belly! What am I saying?

I am talking about my family get together party, which I was in charge of organizing this month. And the reason why I couldn't share my plans with you guys was because, few cousins of mine follow my blog, so anything I talk about will simply spoil the surprise for them. 
For about a month now I was busy - booking a venue, deciding on caterers, choosing games, purchasing gifts etc etc....with my time consuming work schedule the said was very difficult to squeeze in, but I had to do it

♥Celebrating life♥

I have a decent no of relatives here and we make it a point to arrange gatherings every 2 months or so, involving loads of games, chit chats and gossip! The one organizer have to pull it all together without disclosing any details about the day to the rest. The party was yesterday and it was a super success! Am sooo glad.

I arranged for a pool side party and kept the theme very simple. Here are a few pics.

I seek perfection in everything I do. By nature I lean more towards creativity and hence gave importance to every detail. Since it was a family gathering, i made sure the message of togetherness and love is highlighted. At the end of the day it was the joy of having near and dear ones, that we need to celebrate

The food and cake was finger licking good. I simply loved the tiramisu coffee cake. Though the bakery slightly screwed up the writing, all was forgiven when I tasted them. 

I look the feel and look of chalk on black board. So i gave my best shot to replicate the same for my table center pieces, using black board paper and white marker!! Moreover this gave a very homely yet classic vibe.

All my efforts paid off! I was appreciated and praised for all my hard work...it was such a relief and joy when it all ended happily♥
