Erase those Bags | Clarins Instant Concealer

Lets talk about those heavy duty bags ladies! Even on a 'No makeup' day, i cheat, thanks to my very evident and visible dark circles. My holy grail concealer has been Makeup Forever Full cover concealer for almost 2 years. Yes i have used many many tubes of that heavy industrial product! Lol..

Here's the twist - I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try a new product this month. Settled for Clarins Instant Concealer after some serious hours of Googling (my purchase for foundations and concealers are never spontaneous! I research!)

Firstly may i say, the texture of this product is beyond amazing. Silky velvety smooth. Especially if you have used Full Cover by Makeupforever or any other concealer with a thick / hard-to-blend texture, this product is a revelation. It knocks of my dark shadow immediately without having to pile on layers. The smooth texture allows you to build up and still not look like you have ton of concealer on. And that for me is a True Blessing! Little goes a long way too. 

Now for those thinking creamy concealers crease, the answer is No. I apply the product and then buff it in with a beauty blender. Finally set it using a powder. Never as it creased on me. 

The concealer comes in 4 shades. Mine in No3.

Clarins Autumn MakeUp Collection 2014 | Review

Carrying on with the Autumn/Fall theme...

Clarin 2014 MakeUp Collection - This collection as 'ME' written all over it. From Lipsticks to Eyeshadows, each and every color/texture is right up my ally! Now how often does that happen??

Rouge Eclat Lipsticks

Feels very light and soft on lips, well pigmented with a berry scent to it (reminds me of Shisha!!). The texture feels super smooth and is easy to apply. My personal favorite colors are Red Fuchsia and Strawberry Sorbet. 

Tip - Since the formula is light and balm like, darker shades like Red Fuchsia tends to fad away or move towards border line of lips. Set the lipstick using powder and then go for a second coat to seal the deal!

Build Up - The Nutir Complex ingredients helps dehydrate and supply Vitamin E. Clarins claims it to be their Age Defying Lipsticks.

I heart Matte...
And these Cream to Powder eye shadows are gorgeous. Love love the texture and settles in well. It is hard for me to pick a favorite, but Earth (06), Nude Beige (01), Rosewood (04) and Sparkle Grey (05) where most reached for last week.

Autumn/Fall Make-up Look

Time 11:35PM (sleepless me with a cup of tea drafting this post)

In Dubai there is largely only 2 seasons - Summer (9 months) and moderate winter (3 months). Unlike some of you blessed with a Real winter, Autumn and Spring!! (Jealous)

Its all about Autumn/Fall now. So what more appropriate than a creating a look that blends in with the season. I've used a mix of some old and new favorites. 

Lipstick being the 'Poppin' factor here. I've used Sephora's Rouge Infusion in No.14. I am not a 'deep maroon' color person but somehow totally digging this look on myself recently! Foundation, non other than my holy grail Dior Star, Marc Jacobs Mascara and no blush.

For eyes - Nars Dual Intensity shadow in Subra and 24/7 glide on eyeliner from Urban Decay. This eyeliner don't budge, even on me (my eyes get watery often!!). Very impressive and definitely repurchasing.

Coulped in with my new favorite perfume from Guerlain - Santal Royal. The scent is very true to middle eastern culture and taste. 

Can we not overlook the my stunning new bracelet from C Wonder. This one store is capable of ripping my wallet. Their jewelry and home wares are especially to die for. I simpley love how simple yet how elegant his bracelet looks. 18k carat gold plated and comes with different initials. I went after my husband's.

OOTD & FOTD | Zara Jumpsuit

Hello Gorgeous Ladies

Last week i hit gold! Since forever, I've been in the market for a jumpsuit with sleeves and one without a deep neck! Though there were a couple, Zara launched in their Summer collection, nothing really 'awed' me. Luckily, their winter collection brought out JUST what i was looking for. 

P.E.R.F.E.C.T!!!

The jumpsuit came with full sleeves which of course i can fold to my convenient length and a decent buttoned up top portion. It comes in Grey which again is quite different from the usual BLACK style. The material is light and comfy.

This particular Jumpsuit can be dressed casual and semi formal which is a big big plus. 

Kept my makeup really simple. Pink lip, Blue Nails (Inglot) and finished off with Chanel shades.

Aesop Parsley Seed Masque | Review

I've been FOREVER wanting to try this highly raved about mask. But -

a) it is not (was) available in Dubai and b) i never got around buying it online for some reason or the other. Fortunately, there is now a local website selling it and Boy! was i happy to spot it..

The mask focus on deep cleansing, key ingredients being Parsley Seed, Rose hip Seed and Aloe Vera. The texture is slightly more liquid-y than ordinary clay masks. This allows easy even application. I apply a generous amount on my face and neck for 10-15 minutes. 

Leaves your skin cleansed from within and I've experienced less of dry patches since using it on a weekly basis. In the market for a worth investing mask? Here it is..

Lunch with a View | Observatory

Up for some drooling food pics?? 

Yesterday we visited the Observatory restaurant located at JW Marriott, Dubai Marina for lunch. Highlight of the restaurant being the amazing view it offers. The restaurant is located on the 52nd floor, top floor of the building to be precise and the view is Ah-MAZING! 

I wasn't sure whether to visit during day or night time, finally dropped by for lunch. Few items on the Menu were really good and some average but love the ambiance and friendly staff. Perfect spot to unwind and chit chat with friends and family.

Definitely going back again. Make sure to mention you want a window seat when placing reservation.

Must Try - Chicken Tikka wrap, Mexican chicken wrap, Butter chicken and Basmati Rice.

Diptyque LA COLLECTION | Candle

Current status - A relaxed and stretched me on sofa with a cup of Vanilla Tea and Diptyque candle burning! Bliss..

Diptyque launched their latest, La Collection this month (an extension of their classic 34) . Is there anybody out there who is not a fan of their Fragrance? For me it is mostly all about their candles. Though after the launch event, i grew immensely fond of their solid perfumes too. Definitely going on my wish list.

Le Redoute, scented candle from the new collection, not only looks uber gorgeous but smells incredible too. I can best describe the scent as woody/spice-y/cinnamon-y with a floral hint. It lingers for hours and creates such a pleasant vibe. Allows me to unwind and relax within minutes. 

The candle comes in porcelain pot made of white and black clay. I was told it takes 5 days to produce these pots and each one is unique in pattern. A true Treat to oneself.
