Autumn/Fall Make-up Look

Hello Angels
Time 11:35PM (sleepless me with a cup of tea drafting this post)

In Dubai there is largely only 2 seasons - Summer (9 months) and moderate winter (3 months). Unlike some of you blessed with a Real winter, Autumn and Spring!! (Jealous)

Its all about Autumn/Fall now. So what more appropriate than a creating a look that blends in with the season. I've used a mix of some old and new favorites.

Lipstick being the 'Poppin' factor here. I've used Sephora's Rouge Infusion in No.14. I am not a 'deep maroon' color person but somehow totally digging this look on myself recently! Foundation, non other than my holy grail Dior Star, Marc Jacobs Mascara and no blush.

For eyes - Nars Dual Intensity shadow in Subra and 24/7 glide on eyeliner from Urban Decay. This eyeliner don't budge, even on me (my eyes get watery often!!). Very impressive and definitely repurchasing.

Coulped in with my new favorite perfume from Guerlain - Santal Royal. The scent is very true to middle eastern culture and taste.

Can we not overlook the my stunning new bracelet from C Wonder. This one store is capable of ripping my wallet. Their jewelry and home wares are especially to die for. I simpley love how simple yet how elegant his bracelet looks. 18k carat gold plated and comes with different initials. I went after my husband's.

Hope you like this Autumn-ish look. Let me know and i can perhaps do more of these kinds.

What is your favorite Autumn/Fall product?

Beauty/Non Beauty Finds | Review

Hello Angels
Yet again am back with my thoughts on few products and this time a Non Beauty favorite is added too...

Inglot Eye Liner Brush in No 23T
The brush is very fine and pointy.  I purchased it in an attempt to perfect my 'Flick'. For me to get that perfect flick and curve, bristles should be slightly more smooth and not too rigid. Yes! some of you may disagree. The brush does a FAB job and costs only $9.5/AED35. Bargain!

P.S. I use NARS Eye Paint in Black Valley.

Marc Jacobs Precision Pen Liner
Thoroughly thoroughly enjoying Marc Jacobs Liquid Eye Liner stick. This liner is really good. I love the tip, packaging and texture (not too runny). Allows you to create looks from simple to dramatic all the while giving you good control and hold. Jet black and waterproof. SOLD!

Inglot Cream Blush in 08
What caught my eyes first at the store were their cream blushes. Neatly packaged in cute 'lil pots and available in pretty shades. My instant thought was that they would make a good blush/lip cream.

I've been using it on and off lately and can i say the product is a real let down. As a blush, it does what we all fear most of cream blushes - they settle on pores and  patches. As a lip cream, they still manage to pull it off but again doesn't last me long. Bottom line, not impressed.

Home Bakery
Last weekend i found heaven - Chocolate heaven!! This little Cafe/Bakery at Al Wasl, Jumeria, is the perfect hot spot for a fun catch up with friends or family! Chic, stylish, comfortable and most importantly heavenly Cakes, desserts, hot chocolates and much much more. So far I've tried their Nutella Kunafe, Forreo, Hazel Nut Chocolate Fondant, Oreo cake, Frozen chocolate drink and Teas. Yes, you can tell am a FAN!

The ambiance is perfect to relax and chit chat over delicious yummies....

Hope this post was useful. Let me know if you guys have tried any of these products or visited Home Bakery!

Holiday Picks | Make Up

Hello Angels
As you may know from my previous posts, Instagram and Twitter feeds am in London right now. That time of the year when i get to take a short break from work life and other commitments. Being a hard core advocate of 'Travel Light' policy, I thought it would only be appropriate to talk about my Travel Beauty picks...Click for a detailed review.

Foundation - Choice was obvious here, Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation
Blush - Ysl Baby Doll Kiss&Blush in No.8. When on holidays, one hardly gets time to retouch or never really bother. But ofcourse who wants to look all pale and flushed?? So my pick was this beaut. Tried and Tested, this cream to powdery blush stays put for 5 hr +
Nars Lip Pencil in Yu - Its been my favorite, ever since i received them (Click Here). The color is quite bright. But i tend to dab them in required intensity only. I apply a layer of Vaseline underneath to moisturize my lips. The weather out here is quite dry
Bronzer - The cold, chill wind and dryness, leaves your skin quite pale and white! Chanel Les Beiges in No.2  is a new purchase. So far loving it. The product contains a light and a dark brown with a lighter highlighter shade. Combination of the 3, works very well for contouring. The packaging and embossing is a beauty.
Eye - I like to keep my makeup very light during holidays and hence skip on eye liners most days. To compensate plus to add a bit of definition, i use the Marc Jacobs Lolita Palette. Nothing too overboard yet does the job. Life saver

Last but not the least, there was a cheeky purchase at the Duty Free store. Duty Free shops are ideal for limited edition palettes. Like this one for example. I don't think one can find them in a local store. Value for Money. It houses a Concealer, compact, blush, 5 eye shadows, Mascara, Eyeliner Pencil, 2 Lip sticks and a gloss!!! Now how can i turn my back on something soooooo absolutely perfect??

I will post a detailed review on my return. Let me know if your interested?

I may have taken few other bits too but these are the only items actually used! Let me know your thought? Any recommendations for shopping beauty products at London?

Marc Jacobs Lolita | Review

Hello Angels
Last Year Marc Jacob launched his beauty line. And one product, that instantly created a LOT of Buzzz was their Lolita Palette. Personally am not a huge eye shadow person. I love my Urban Decay Naked Palette 2, and that fulfills all my needs.

I was recently invited to a Sephora event and this babe was given to us in our goody bag. How generous! What struck me instantly was the sleek, GORGEOUS packaging. I mean look at that. Luxury in all form and matter. Now looking beyond the splendid packaging, the actual product.

The shades are basic but i love each one of them (except for the 3rd one from right). The shades are well pigmented and smooth velvety in texture. Err...in fact, i prefer the texture slightly over UD Naked. Blends in effortlessly and stays put. The Glitters are not too glittery. So wearable on a day to day basis.

I've been using the dark brown shade a LOT lately. I apply the light beige (2nd from left) all over my lid, then top it with the bronzy shimmer (1st from right). Apply the dark brown to outer corner for a smoky look. And finish it off by applying the gold shimmer (2nd from right) to inner corner of my eyes.

3 matte shade and 4 glitters. I can see myself using this palette exhaustively. One good quality palette that houses all basic, but most commonly loved shades. If your thinking of investing in a palette and like to keep it simple, i would recommend Lolita. But if you own several already, i won't advise splurging.

Own a Lolita? Which is your favorite palette otherwise?

Cost $59.

Marc Jacob Beauty | Review

Hello Angels
*Calling All Marc Jacob Fans*
A lot of anticipation and excitement buzzed around the launch of Marc Jacob beauty collection. The beauty world could hardly wait. The collection launched in Dubai last week, Finally!!

So this weekend, I paid a quick visit to Sephora. Lusting over the products beautifully displayed at the MJ Counter. My first purchase had to be their nail varnish. They have some very unique color selection and o my my the packaging! 10/10 for packaging.

I was torn between two colors, Petra and Le Charm. Bagged Petra but soon to go back for the latter. Petra is a very beautiful metallic, violet toned grey. If that makes sense!! I had them on for 1 week and faced no chipping issue.  For US$27 these are definitely on the expensive side.

To talk a 'lil about their other products. They have a vast selection of shades in foundation and concealers. I always appreciate when brands offer a good range of selection in shades. The blushes came in 5 shades only. But the texture was amazing. Uber soft and silky. Check out 'Reckless'.

So how did you like my MJ purchase? Have you got your hands on them yet? Let me know....

Love
