Shourouk for Sephora | Review

Hello Angels
Sephora joined forces with Designer Shourouk for their latest spring collection. The same was launched last week (same day as my B'day!!).

The collection is uber cute and girly. Each product with a touch of jewel. That being said, when it comes to talking about the makeup itself my review is a mix of disappointment and good.

Makeup Brush - Quality wise the brush is very good, the bristles are decently soft and dense. But i doubt recommending it to anyone for AED 369/USD95! I mean c'mon for that money one can easily opt for Bobbi Brown or MAC brushes. Even Real Techniques powder brush which is of fantastic quality is wayyyyy cheaper.

Eye Palette - Love Love the packaging. The whole set gives you the feel of opening a bracelet box. The colors are well pigmented. Mostly glitter based color with one matte ash brown shade. The palette costs AED 149. Makes a good looking gift. But then again there are plenty of other eye palettes out there that i would prefer spending on.

The collection also includes mono eye shadows, nail polishes and blushers. Though they look extremely pretty and girly, but am not thoroughly impressed by the quality and choice of colors.

Do check them out whilst passing by Sephora and let me know if you think otherwise.

Autumn/Fall Make-up Look

Hello Angels
Time 11:35PM (sleepless me with a cup of tea drafting this post)

In Dubai there is largely only 2 seasons - Summer (9 months) and moderate winter (3 months). Unlike some of you blessed with a Real winter, Autumn and Spring!! (Jealous)

Its all about Autumn/Fall now. So what more appropriate than a creating a look that blends in with the season. I've used a mix of some old and new favorites.

Lipstick being the 'Poppin' factor here. I've used Sephora's Rouge Infusion in No.14. I am not a 'deep maroon' color person but somehow totally digging this look on myself recently! Foundation, non other than my holy grail Dior Star, Marc Jacobs Mascara and no blush.

For eyes - Nars Dual Intensity shadow in Subra and 24/7 glide on eyeliner from Urban Decay. This eyeliner don't budge, even on me (my eyes get watery often!!). Very impressive and definitely repurchasing.

Coulped in with my new favorite perfume from Guerlain - Santal Royal. The scent is very true to middle eastern culture and taste.

Can we not overlook the my stunning new bracelet from C Wonder. This one store is capable of ripping my wallet. Their jewelry and home wares are especially to die for. I simpley love how simple yet how elegant his bracelet looks. 18k carat gold plated and comes with different initials. I went after my husband's.

Hope you like this Autumn-ish look. Let me know and i can perhaps do more of these kinds.

What is your favorite Autumn/Fall product?

Beauty Updates #6 + Giveaway

Hello Angels

Beauty Blender
Ain't we all familiar with these Hot Pink cult favorite??!! That being said i am quite late to the party! OMG, they are not just one of the best makeup tool inventions but addictive too.

Wet the sponge, squeeze excess water before application. Super easy to buff in and the 'Pointed' corner allows easy application towards corners. Makeup looks flawless and neat.
Good News - These babies launch in Sephora outlets Dubai this November. They are also launching Micro Mini versions, designed for eye + nose contouring. I wasn't very sure about the need to have mini ones. But after a demo by the makeup artist. i totally wanted a dozen! Are you a Beauty blender fan??

Sephora Lipstick Remover
You never realize the need for certain products until your introduced to it. Lipstain Antidote by Sephora falls under this category for me. We all love our long lasting lipsticks but lets agree to get them off becomes a pain at times.

This oil in gel formula based product removes lip stains and dark lipsticks within seconds. Comes in a very convenient small tube that can be slipped into your handbag. Such a handy product, isn't it??

AED35/USD7

Sephora Rouge Extreme Liquid Lipstick
Sephora is definitely upping their game on a cosmetic front. Their liquid lipstick was a major hit and this fall they have launched Rouge Extreme Liquid lipsticks. A slightly refined version of the former.

Firstly i love the packaging. The texture is creamy and OMG pigmented. The only low down being all colors in the collection are dark. If you are on a look out for long lasting lipstick this babe from Sephora is a STEAL!

AED85/USD17

Now for the exciting bit. Am giving away each product mentioned in this post. UAE Residents only. Rules? Simple, leave a comment below telling me what is your favorite makeup tool along with email address. All the Best!

Hope you found this post useful my loves. Have a safe and fun weekend.

X Formula by Sephora | Review

Hello Angels
X Formula Polishes - a new line of nail polishes launched by Sephora. I've read both positive and negative feedback on this product and honestly after reading the same, i was not expecting much at all! But after using them for almost a week now...here's my take!

Firstly, this is one brand that will not let you down when it comes to shades. They have a massive massive collection varying from classics to liquid crystals to Lusters and Graffiti. You name it, they have it!

I loved the formula. The brush is easy to work with and the packaging is cute. Quality wise i found them equally good compared to Essie (Not every blogger may agree though!)

Personally i loved their pastel colors. Simply Fab! 2 coats and you get an opaque look. They did not chip too soon for me and lasted for about 4 days.

I would highly recommend taking a walk across the X Formula aisle next time your at Sephora. And surely check out their pastel shades.

Tried these before? Quite a controversial product....what's your take?? Am eager to know....

Sephora Textile Nail Art Stickers

Hello Angels
A week set aside for 4 fab nail product i discovered this month! If you are an addict to polishes/nail art - Welcome aboard!

So here's my second pick -  Sephora Textile Nail Art stickers! I've never ever  used something like this before and frankly, wasn't sure what to expect when I received them. If it wasn't for the ample free time i was left with this weekend, I may have never given them a try.

It took me less than 30 minutes to get them on. I would advice using a small pair of scissor (similar to one shown below) to get that perfect cut around the edges. Application was super easy and I absolutely loved the end result.

This one product as really got me in for nail art stickers. The quality is fantastic +  they last long.

Available in a variety of textile patterns. They even had a black plain leather one. How cool is that?? Going forward these are my Go To option for a fun day out.

How do you like them? Tried nail art stickers before?

Stay tuned for 2 more nail product review...
