Weekday Haul ♥

Hello Angels
This week, way before the weekend arrived i went out shopping to grab a few essentials! (For me, in my world this seemed essential...or maybe am simply justifying my purchase!) I have a party coming up this weekend, tomorrow to be precise. So a sparkly, party kinda top was required. Zara my savior, as always came to my rescue! The knitwear is perfect for the occasion - Casual cum sparkly!

The Scarf is from Parfois. I ♥ the blue and pink combo and i love this shop. I have never returned empty handed from this shop. Their accessories are trendy and gorgeous. Check their website out Click me!

Last but not the least - this item was not an essential but i had to get it!!!
Honestly, how can i turn my back on this gorgeous VS Makeup bag?? This is from their new collection and my my its selling out fast. They had a slightly bigger rectangular shaped one too, but i found this one to be the perfect size.

That;s about it! See , wasn't that huge! :)
Have you checked out VS new collection? I loved their jumpers...

Stand up and Talk the Talk!

Hello Angels
A series of events in my past week convinced me to write this post. Unplanned for, but like most spontaneous posts of mine, i feel this too need to be out there in cyber space.

So to brief up, the story begins when a colleague of mine successfully pissed me off. Now to talk about this 'x' character, he as zero manners and nil knowledge of how to speak in public. Now earlier I used to put it off, thinking it was a defect by birth!! And also till then he never messed with me directly. But one fine day, he did. To keep it short he was rude. And I don't take shit.

If your confident of your work and you know you work your ass off , then you have nothing to worry. Stand up for yourself and fight back. Make sure you convey that ' DO NOT BULLSHIT WITH ME!!

Ofcourse when working for an international organization you have to get things done through the proper channels and that's exactly what I did. Am sure he will think twice before acting smart again.

Moral of the story...
If you deserve respect make sure you get it. If you still don't. Turn around and walk out but never ever encourage disrespect.

PS - Am blogging on the go, so no pic for this post guys!!

Agree??

My week | Instapicz

Hello Angels
What have i been upto this week?? Quite obvious if you take a glance at the picz!
I have been eating, partying and enjoying. This week began with a lovely breakfast with my best chum . Followed by a family meal at a local restaurant (steak and Arabic cuisine).

The black dress was my valentine outfit. Then of course was the yacht party with my colleagues yesterday. Perfect climate, perfect ambiance and perfect company. The view couldn't get any better...

This kitten is just 5 week old and belongs to my cousin's friend. She shared these cute, gorgeous pictures with me and I had to share them with you guys. I have it on as my display pic on iPhone. OMG, speechless adorable....

A view of my city from the yacht!! I love this city....
How is your week turning out to be??

Haul | Accessories

Hello Angels
Am back with a mini haul. This week i was extremely lucky to get my hands on a few beautiful jewelery.
The cute Bow Rings are from Call It Spring store. They can add a perfect splash of color to your 'not so colorful' attire. I got them in neon yellow and bright pink.
Then of course were these beautiful hair pins i picked from Accessorize. Don't they look gorgeous?

Last but not the least...
Another find from Zara. A neck piece with feathers or that looks quite tribal is new to my collection. I have tried them on, and it looks wow! They may look a little 'on your face' in these pics but pair it up with a plain black top or any other color for that matter for an absolute glamorous look.

What your say on my haul? Like 'em?

Review | Illamasqua Cream Blusher

Hello Angels
Two days back I experienced the guilty pleasure when bagging an Illamasqua Cream Blusher - Promise

True to its name - the product promises not to let you down. This is my first Illamasqua product (first of many to come am sure!). I never really ventured into this brand though I had heard lots of goody goody things about them. And now I can vouch for it too...

The Texture
I love cream blushes generally because somehow it sits and blends better on your skin. This particular one as a great smooth creamy texture which allows you to effortlessly blend them onto your skin within seconds. Well pigmented.

The Color
Pale pink with a blue base. Needless to say the color is gorgeous. It's a day and night color and captures fantastically on photos.

Usage
It can be applied underneath your foundation for a natural glow. Or over your foundation as usual. In either ways the product gives that natural glow to your skin. Which makes your skin look healthy and flawless. When applied lightly, it highlights the apple of your cheeks so very gracefully.

Additional Pluses
I use them on my lip too...and trust me it looks wow!

Rating
♥ Color 5/5 (No doubt)
♥ Packaging 4/5 (something about the packaging turns me off)
♥ Price 4.3/5 (it does lean more towards the expensive end)

I know for sure I will get full worth of money from this product because I can see myself reaching for it quite often.

How would you rate this Blusher? What are your favorite Illamasqua products?
Recommend me a few

Coffee Art | DIY ♥

Hello Angels
Love is in the air! A very Happy Valentines Day to all...
I thought this would be an appropriate and interesting blog to post today
A quick, effortless DIY on Coffee Art Seals!!

Tiny beautiful details always bring that extra joy and happiness to me. Like a fine Coffee Art. I have tried my hand in mastering the skill but failed miserably. So for those like me, here goes....

An alternative solution, i came up with...

♥ Take a plastic or rubber tin cover preferably medium sized
♥ Sketch out the design you prefer
♥ Cut it out (with a knife or small scissors)
♥ And then.......Simply use them to sprinkle you choco, cocoa or cinnamon powder!

Do you like the feel of Coffee Art? What were you upto on Vday?

Review | Nivea Double Effect Eye MakeUp Remover

Hello Angels
I don't do much of review post and even if I do indulge in them I talk about several without restricting to one product. But today am slightly deviating from history because this one product deserves a whole page!

If you haven't already noticed I define my eyes intensely with liquid eye liner (top and bottom) followed by kohl on my water line and mascara. I have been religiously using the so very famous Bioderma make up remover for the past 5 to 6 months.  But the only downside i face is, though i remove my make up before hitting bed, next day morning my water line and tear duct is filled with eye liner residue. Which i then have to clean again. I quite don't like this additional process.

As a solution, I decided to invest in a eye make up remover. The thought of using two different removers didn't excite me much though. I opted for the Nivea Double Effect Eye Make Up Remover  Nivea has proved to be a trust worthy brand and they have been in cosmetic market since ever!

The product effectively removes my eye liner leaving zero residue and a clean bright skin. Waterproof mascara or lipstick cleans up in a jiffy with this product. No intense rubbing required. Apply them to a cotton pad and gently rub them once over your eyes. DONE! It doesn't burn your eyes or smell weird. Suitable for those using contact lenses too. I would highly recommend this product a try. Especially if your into heavy eye make up.

The texture of the liquid is extremely different from Bioderma. It feels oily when first applied, but dries out in sometime. I did take some time to get used to this change but was overwhelmed by the end result.

I will continue to use Bioderma for face make up removal but for eyes am sold to Nivea

Have you tried this product before? Did you like it?
Any other suggestions?
♥ xoxo

My B'day was celebrated at work too..Thanks to all my colleagues  Followed by a sweet surprise by my husband. He gifted me this beautiful charm bracelet from Pandora and i absolutely love 'em

Spicy Sausage Pasta

Hello Angels
Nope you haven't accidentally stumbled over a Food Blog...this is very much me cooking. I came across this yummy mouth watering irresistible recipe when browsing at Kevin & Amanda's website.
It's called the Spicy Sausage Pasta
I love Sausages and Pasta's. Every ingredient in this recipe compelled me to give it a try and so i did today morning...

♥ Ingredients
1 tbsp olive oil
1lb smoked sausages
1.5 cups diced onions
2 cloves garlic, minced
10 oz tomatoes and 2 green chili
1/2 cup heavy cooking cream
8 oz Penne pasta
1/2 teaspoon salt & pepper each
 1 cup mozzarella cheese
I have tweaked the recipe slightly to my taste. As per the original recipe you can add 2 cups chicken broth to it.

♥ Process
lets get cooking.........
Add Olive oil to a skillet over medium flame until smoking. Then add the Sausages and Onions until slightly brown. Add garlic
Then followed by pasta, tomatoes, cream and chilies
Now reduce heat from medium to low. Simmer until pasta is tender (approx 15 minutes)
Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 cup cheese. Broil in oven until cheese is melted, brown and bubbly (approx 3 minutes)

My Husband returns today from his trip and i think this is a great way to welcome him back home. But soo sorry Mister i couldn't resist them and had my share for Lunch..oopsy!

They are delicioussss.....
Let me know if your aware of any other great easy-to-make recipes
Happy Weekend!

♥ Haul - Makeup/Cosmetics

Hello angels
A make up slash cosmetics haul.
These were purchased over the past week. It's the best time for shopping here in Dubai now as we have the shopping festival going on. Stores are running their best deals and I am exploiting it, to the core (or may be they are exploiting my weakness and making money out of me!! Food for thought)

From boots I grabbed this awesome ♥ Soap & Glory  Mini Wonders box. It's got miniatures of all my favorite Soap & Glory items. These are specially launched for Valentines day. And I think they make perfect gift. I love the packaging, true to its name!
Plus i got the Hot Body softening scrub. I haven't used this before but going by the ingredients (Macadamia Oil, Aloe Vera etc), i will surely love it

♥ Sally Hansen
Cuticle Massage Cream- I can go on and on about Sally Hansen's products and these two are my new finds. The cuticle cream has really helped me. My cuticle feels healthier. This tiny container will last me the whole year.
Vitamin B lip balm - Wowwy....moisturizing and it gives a very impressive tone to your lip. I wear it underneath my lipstick and it keeps my lip conditioned all day long. To add on, i love its mild fragrance and taste!!

L'oreal Liquid Eye Liner (Carbon Gloss)
I may have repurchased this product probably 5 to 6 times. Which tells how much I love them. Am not even on a hunt for an alternative, since am satisfied with this one 100 %

Topshop Lip Liner
Another favorite. I love Topshop products. They are of decent quality and reasonable price. It's called Fearless and i adore 'em! (My swatch style is a 'lil different!!)

To my surprise when i went into Sephora, the store was crowded with more than usual no of men. Of course!! Valentines day is around the corner and looks like they know where to shop. I even heard a man asking the store lady for the naked palette 2!!! How sweet....and lucky girl!

But the fact remains, shopping for a Girl is easy! Shopping for Men OMG is a task!

What is your favorite Soap & Glory product? What do you wish for valentines day??
♥ xoxo

Haul - Fashion and Accessory ♥

Hello Angels
So the world famous DSF (Dubai Shopping Festival) was happening right under my nose! But i was so preoccupied with my India trip that I couldn't even take a sniff!
I almost missed the best deals in town!
With just two days left for the festival to end, I squeezed in sometime today after work for shopping. I found some awesome deals (but was also sadden by the fact that I may have missed on better) Nevertheless....this is what I shopped

It was my first time visit to Jack and Wills and my my I loved their stuffs. The store houses all fashion essentials and even crockery in a small scale. I picked myself a muffler scarf, iPhone case, eye shadow brush and a tee for my mister.

Then i happily hopped to Zara. My favorite store. They were sold out on most 'on sale' items.
Whatever was left, where in size small or extra small...however I picked this cute top and a classic, perfect fitted navy trouser for work from their new collection. I just love the gold zipper detailing on them.
Plus an awesome statement necklace, i have been eyeing for long
As I stood near the counter waiting for my turn, my eyes fell on the perfume collection. I was a total stranger to Zara perfumes. But this little bottle impressed my sense! Something to slip into my handbag....

The tour continued to Mango. I didn't shop much from Mango other than a simple black cardigan. Simple but a must have in a wardrobe.

What have you guys shopped lately?? Have you checked out Zara's new collection?
♥ xoxo

When in Love♥

Hello Angels
Am being totally selfish in this blog post. When in love, i guess one does such crazy things! So hope you don't mind!

To My Love
I am head over heels about you
Your love for me, makes me melt
Your voice, makes my heart leap with joy
Your absence causes unbearable discomfort
Your presence makes me complete
Your patience, taught me to ignore the tiny black spot on a huge white canvas
Your love, makes me want to be perfect for you in every way
I love You ♥ I adore you

This is not a random post. I, as always felt the need to put these few words about my love out there. Its essential we speak our hearts out. I am not even sure if my mister would read this blog post but nevertheless..i still would not want to miss an opportunity to say 'I love you'

Valentines Day is around the corner gals...How do you plan to go about it?
I am for sure taking this up as a mission for the month!

♥ xoxo
