A Night at the Opera | Guerlain

Hello Angles
Current Status - Typing away from a coffee shop whilst my husband gets himself a Back Massage!

Back to Subject. Guerlain brings out their Festive, A Night at the Opera Collection and last week i got onto testing them. My pick from the collection being the Eye and Blush Palette and Meteorites.

Petrouchka Palette -
Needless to say it is a gorgeous gorgeous looking palette. One of those which can easily become a staple in your handbag. The palette houses 5 eye shadows and 4 blush shades!

Guerlain played very safe with their choice of shades. Basic colors, keeping in mind these are also the most loved shades by ladies. Eye shadows are decently pigmented. I love the brown and champagne shade. Followed by 4 lovely shades of blushes. Coral, baby pink and 2 darker tone color more for contouring cheeks. I can see myself using every color here quite religiously :) Again the textures is uber soft and pigmented. The 2 shades that occupies smaller areas are more shimmer based.

I love convenient products, this palette can be a life saver for touch ups and travels.
Approx AED380/USD90.

You can see my Instagram Video of the product here

Perles d'Etoiles Illuminating  Pearls
I have absolutely no idea how to pronounce its name! But i can very well give you a good brief up on the product. Now let me be honest, Guerlain Meteorites are pure luxury. These shimmer pearls are meant to give a subtle illumination. You can use it all over your face as a setting powder or focus more on areas you like to highlight.

I swirl my blush brush into the container, tapping of excess and powder cheeks and corners of my forehead. I mostly tend to replace my usual setting powder with this babe during special occasions. A lovely addition to a makeup addict's collection but not really a necessity.

Approx AED300/USD60

With Christmas/New Year around the corner the Palette and Meteorites make a lovely gift to yourself or dear ones.

Nars Virtual Domination Palette review coming up soon and Boy!! that stuff as already got me excited.
So stay tuned for it.

Autumn/Fall Make-up Look

Hello Angels
Time 11:35PM (sleepless me with a cup of tea drafting this post)

In Dubai there is largely only 2 seasons - Summer (9 months) and moderate winter (3 months). Unlike some of you blessed with a Real winter, Autumn and Spring!! (Jealous)

Its all about Autumn/Fall now. So what more appropriate than a creating a look that blends in with the season. I've used a mix of some old and new favorites.

Lipstick being the 'Poppin' factor here. I've used Sephora's Rouge Infusion in No.14. I am not a 'deep maroon' color person but somehow totally digging this look on myself recently! Foundation, non other than my holy grail Dior Star, Marc Jacobs Mascara and no blush.

For eyes - Nars Dual Intensity shadow in Subra and 24/7 glide on eyeliner from Urban Decay. This eyeliner don't budge, even on me (my eyes get watery often!!). Very impressive and definitely repurchasing.

Coulped in with my new favorite perfume from Guerlain - Santal Royal. The scent is very true to middle eastern culture and taste.

Can we not overlook the my stunning new bracelet from C Wonder. This one store is capable of ripping my wallet. Their jewelry and home wares are especially to die for. I simpley love how simple yet how elegant his bracelet looks. 18k carat gold plated and comes with different initials. I went after my husband's.

Hope you like this Autumn-ish look. Let me know and i can perhaps do more of these kinds.

What is your favorite Autumn/Fall product?

Guerlain Terracotta Sheer Light Bronzer | Review

Hello Angels
Product of the week - Guerlain Teracotta sheer light bronzer.

Love bronzer? blush? highlighter? What if you get a combination of all 3 in 1 product? Dream come true for girls like me. Guerlain Terracotta light sheer bronzer is one such invention. A mosaic of 5 beautiful shades.

The bronzer beautifully blends shades of sunny brown, pink and hint of shimmer. I love the subtle glow and sun kissed look it leaves behind. Not overdone at any point and looks very natural. You can blend all colors together or adjust towards a more pinker or brownish look as per taste (I love it when products offer flexibility!)

For a more natural look or no makeup look i use this product alone with no extra blush on top. Alternatively, use them on eyelids as eye shadow or for highlight. Available in 4 combinations, variation being in the intensity of brown and pink, making it usable for both blondes and brunettes.

A product i reach for almost everyday now and equals ranking with NARS Lauguna. That being said, the 2 products don't really fall into the same bucket. Lauguna is a hard core bronzer whereas this one does a 'lil bit of all (bronzing, highlighting and blush).

Though may look slightly orangy in the pic above, it is not so in real. I picked for myself the lightest shade in 02 blondes. Cost $50

Packaging is lush. The mosaic pattern inside makes me happy every time i look at it. So pretty!!

Give them a swatch next time you pass by a Guerlain counter and tell me how you like them....
What's your favorite go to bronzer?

Love
